Our 100 acre Colorado Rocky Mountain campus is a safe and supportive, retreat-like setting in which young men can relax and focus. Participants tell us that this inspiring campus setting evokes the feeling that, “maybe, this time, I can do it.”
What Makes Us Different
We’re the only short-term residential program specifically designed to help young men launch. Unlike other short-term programs*, Insight Intensive is future focused and supportive, providing integrated wellness, therapeutic, life skills, academic, and vocational preparation for college or work and independence. Upon enrollment, our participants immediately begin to develop a Life Plan and learn the life skills necessary for success in college, work and independence.
Taking into consideration the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of an individual’s being, the Insight Intensive program comprises multiple elements that create the means for personal growth. Through holistically based programming, participants are afforded the time and space to learn how one cares for oneself, and then, how to participate in their own self-care. They learn how to do this in a healthy, growth-oriented manner, while engaging in different activities and dilemmas.
We believe that one of the main forces that drives social change is the occurrences that happen around each of us. By forming a healthy, safe, and conscious community, our participants are able to gain an awareness of the relevant intersection of mind, body and spirit. Each individual is able to compete and cooperate with his peers in a safe environment, while receiving positive and informing feedback that leads to greater insights and perspectives.
Insight Intensive puts a lot of emphasis on the participants’ ability to develop a core set of skills that will enrich their lives in the present, while also carefully considering how these skills will continue to improve their lives in the future.
We value the power and effectiveness of living in a community and have taken careful consideration in building a knowledgeable and experienced staff along with a diverse range of adjunct faculty who are committed to the growth of our young adults.
*Most short-term programs are past and present focused, providing control/stabilization, treatment of crisis issues, and preparation for the next therapeutic step. By contrast, Insight Intensive is future focused, providing intensive preparation for independence, college, and/or career.
